We were hesitant to touch this seemingly fragile antique map unearthed in the dusty studios of a Florentine map studio near the Palazzo Vecchio. We had trouble believing it wasn't an antique! Our replica cityscape map reproduces all its astounding details and landmarks like the Cathedral of Norte Dame, Le Louvre and Hotel des Invalides. This realistic quadriptych replica cityscape map of Paris is over mounted on heavy paraffin cotton canvas and boast the same fold marks, frayed edges, hand-tinting and subtle shadings as the originals by skilled German mapmakers Johann Probst (1719-1781) and Friedrich Werner (1690-1778).
